Underwater Cinematography Courses & Diver Training

Jon Shaw, ginclearfilm’s principal is a Marine Biologist and award-winning underwater cinematographer.  He offers personalised training in both underwater film and diver training.  Whether you are looking to refine your skills or start fresh, Jon can tailor a course specific to you or your company’s needs.

Jon is a qualified PADI Master Instructor, technical dive instructor and currently lectures in underwater cinematography at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and runs private one day seminars in the fundamentals of underwater cinematography.  Jon holds a Cert IV in workplace training and assessment.

ginclearfilm has shot for all the major networks both here in Australia and also internationally and has won multiple awards.  Jon was personally nominated for an Emmy for his cinematography on “Life on the Reef” and received an ACCTA for the same documentary for Best Cinematography.

ginclearfilm can also offer tuition on post production workflows with underwater footage including editing, colour grading and output options. Courses can be offered on an individual basis or we can offer group programs
